We’re back again for another pointless edition of WWE Main Event. I really, really love this show. We get straight into the action here for this 51 minute Episode of WWE Main Event. I for one, can’t wait.
Singles Match
Indi Hartwell vs. Xia Li
Background:
They have worked one match together in the past and it was on a NXT House Show in Largo, Florida on February 28th, 2020, which Xia won.
The Match:
I predicted an Indi victory here, I think she needs to work on her European uppercuts. Indi is only fresh to the main roster, but Xia Li has been there for a while. I wonder if she feels frustrated about her spot, and I wonder what the issue is behind the scenes where she hasn’t been given an angle to work with. I don’t know if Xia has been told to be more vocal, but it stands out a lot this week! Indi laid Xia our with her new finisher which is a full nelson slam into a flatliner. That’s a cool move.
Winner – Indi Hartwell in 7:41.
We get some highlights from Smackdown where Cena was talking about AJ Styles being his partner to battle the Bloodline and AJ got laid out and the updates to the story on the previous Smackdown, and how LA Knight made the save for Cena, and became his Tag Partner for Fastlane. That was fun!
More hype for Seth Rollins’ feud with Shinsuke Nakamura, which I feel rather… blah about. Only because I know Nakamura isn’t going to win. It’s hard to be invested when it’s obvious who’s winning ahead of time. It’s a Last Man Standing match at Fastlane which I really don’t look forward to. I have to say I love Nakamura as a heel.
They run through matches for Fastlane, and dude, WHY do we have to watch another Triple Threat Women’s match? Could we not just get IYO Sky Vs Asuka?
Singles Match
Nikki Cross vs. Kayden Carter w/Katana Chance
Background:
Nikki Cross has made a home here on Main Event the last few weeks, I wonder what the go is with her these days and where her standing is with management and the creative team. Seems she ways always involved before in stories here and there. She takes on Kayden, who she actually wrestled in a singles match for the first time 10 episodes ago on the 565th Episode of Main Event, where Nikki got the win. I wonder if Kaydens partner, Katana is injured as she hasn’t wrestled in 5 weeks.
The Match:
They didn’t get off to the best start, it got better after they went to the outside of the ring the first time. Wade Barrett hilariously freaks out again when Nikki went near him, threatening to quit the company. I can not believe on this 51 minute show they actually went to a commercial break during the 2nd and last match. I think next week, Katana deserves the chance to wrestle. I don’t know what it is, but it was almost like they’re both so short the match was slightly awkward! Nikki got the win with the spinning neckbreaker.
Winner – Nikki Cross in 6:54.
We see highlights of the Gunther/Tommaso Ciampa Contract signing, and Gunther successfully defending the Intercontinental Championship over Tommaso on Monday Night RAW, and what appears to be the reformation of Ciampa’s old Tag Team with Johnny Gargano, #DIY. We go off the air!
